ORH 0057 Floral Design and Marketing IV
Prerequisite: ORH 0056 or consent of instructor. This course prepares floral design students to make symmetrical and asymmetrical fresh and silk arrangements. Students will also study European, Oriental and vegetative design styles and learn design techniques such as basing, terracing, grouping, pillowing, banding, framing and clustering. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a design show competition and create a design portfolio. Lastly, students will demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills by developing a party plan for a special event and presenting this plan in class. Up to 30 hours of instructional time may consist of field work or projects that occur outside the classroom.
