PMT 0122 Intermediate Shielded Metal Arc Welding
This course is designed to give students the required knowledge and skills to produce quality lab and tee welds using low-hydrogen type electrodes in the flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. The cutting of irregular shapes using the oxyfuel torch, introduction to oxyacety lene welding and torch brazing will be presented during this course. The instruction will be individualized and will consist of classroom instruction and laboratory assignments. Students will use the information contained in the textbook, workbook, video tapes, and instruction and demonstrations by the instructor to complete the assignments. Students will purchase the text book, workbook and all personal equipment.
