College Credit Course Description: AER 2251

AER 2251 Automatic Transmissions and Transaxles II — 4 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: AER 1310 and AER 1132. This course is an advanced study of automatic transmissions. This course will concentrate on the automatic transmission/transaxles in today's vehicles, including instruction in overdrive transmission and lock-up torque converters. In addition, GM-ASEP students will include GM specific instruction based on GM-STG course number 17001.23 Automatic Trans mission Mechanical Hydraulic Diagnosis, course number 17001.24 Automatic Transaxle Mechanical/Hydraulic Diagnosis, and GM course number 17001.25 Automatic Transmission Electronics and System Diagnosis. Both classroom lecture and laboratory will be provided. Six contact hours: four lecture hours, two laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
