AMH 2092 African-American History and Culture (From African Origins Through Reconstruction) — 3 Credit Hours
This survey course deals with the trends, institutions, events and personalities of black people in the American past, including a brief treatment of the African origin, the development of slavery, the black people during the Revolutionary War and the black people during the Civil War and Reconstruction. This course stresses the origin of racism, general minority problems, cultural appreciation and black ideas. Three contact hours. A.A.
