1104 Primary Flight 4 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: FAA student pilot certificate and FAA Class III medical certificate. This course is the first step in students' eventual certification as Commercial Pilots. The course consists of basic and advanced flight maneuvers, aerodynamics, air craft performance, weather, emergency procedures, radio communications, cross country flight, night flight, advanced takeoff and landing techniques, human factors, Federal Aviation Regulations, etc. The course requirements are met when students earn certification as Private Pilots. FCCJ does not provide the airplane or the flight instruction required. All training is done at a private flight school of the students' choice and at students' expense. FCCJ will award college credit for this instruction to currently enrolled students who have completed a minimum of three ATT, ASC or ATF courses appropriate to their degree at FCCJ.
