2551 Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming 4 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: COP 1000. This course is designed to provide a thorough working knowledge of (JAVA) programming language. The course is a lecture/lab course designed to be taught in a computer lab. This course starts by reviewing basic JAVA and object-oriented programming concepts then introduces and explores advanced JAVA concepts. Topics include stream I/O and random-access file I/O, collection classes, programming graphical user inter faces for applications using the AWT and Swing APIs, creating applets and JavaBean components.
