DES 2601 Dental Emergencies and the Medically Compromised Patient — 2 Credit Hours
Corequisite: certification in basic life support for the health care professional (CPR) or consent of the instructor. This course provides students with practice and theory in basic emergency procedures with dental hygiene treatment methodologies for the medically compromised patient. Emphasis is placed on the role of the dental auxiliary in recognizing and preventing possible emergency situations. Two contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
