EAP 1600 Speech/Listening Level VI (ENS 1301 ESL Speech - Level III) — 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: listening placement test score at Level III or successful completion of EAP 1500. Corequisites: EAP 1620, EAP 1640 and EAP 1660. This course stresses the practice of the principles and methods involved in oral/aural communications. Students will engage in purposeful and sometimes guided discussions on a variety of topics. In addition, students will be given the opportunities to practice listening and notetaking skills through video taped authentic lectures by FCCJ professors. Individual laboratory practice in pronunciation, stress, into nation and listening skills for academic purposes is an integral part of this course. Three contact hours.
