GRA 1543 Principles of Graphic Design — 3 Credit Hours
Recommended prerequisite: ART 1300C. This introductory level studio course is an in-depth study of graphic design fundamentals and terminology. The course will stress the problem-solving process used by the graphic designer and discuss the profession of graphic design and visual communication. Students will develop proficiency in the knowledge and application of the elements of design including color, line, texture, and shape as well as the principles including contrast, balance, form relationships in space and repetition. Four contact hours: three lecture hours, one laboratory hour. A.S., A.A.S.
