JOU 2100 Newspaper Reporting and Writing — 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: ENC 1101 with a grade of "C" or better. This course will introduce basic news paper reporting procedures, including writing news leads, organizing stories, interviewing techniques and ethics. The role of the reporter will also be addressed. Since computer training will be included, it is recommended that students have basic typing skills before enrolling in this course. Practice in actual reporting will be gleaned from writing for the student news paper. Three contact hours. A.A.
