THE 2300 Survey of Dramatic Literature — 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: ENC 1101. This course is a survey of western theatre and drama from the Greeks to present day. Literary concepts particular to drama, such as plot, character, theme, and style are explored. The course also places dramatic literature in the social frame work of its age with emphasis on play production, actors, and audiences. Representative plays from major periods are studied. Three contact hours. A.A.
