MTE 0181 Outboard Marine Fuel and Cooling
This course is designed to teach entry-level job skills in maintenance and repair techniques for the fuel and cooling systems on outboard engines. Topics include fuel, fuel system and combustion control. Fuel system diagnostics are made using digital diagnostic terminal, "system check" gauge, and lap top PC to retrieve service codes. System repairs of carburetors, EFI, DFI and FFI fuel systems are explored. Cooling system theory, water pump repair and maintenance are covered.
