Vocational
Certificate Program This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as child care workers in private, public and family day centers. Students entering this program may be required to enroll in basic skills training after completion of 180 hours of training. Placement in basic skills instruction will be determined by their scores on the state mandated Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). Prospective students should be advised by a counselor prior to enrollment. This program is offered during the day, night and weekends. For information call 632-3180.
The above listed childcare worker courses comprise the first 30 hours of the 600 hour Early Childhood Education Vocational Certificate. Contact the program director for additional information. *Students who have satisfactory test scores are not required to take these courses. |
