  Internet Services Technology (Webmaster/Web Development) (2148)
   
  The explosive growth of the Internet and electronic commerce affects almost every company and organization today. Successful Web communication requires a single person or team to serve as the focal point and organizational players between previously unrelated work functions. The Webmaster/Web Development programs provide the necessary course work to enable graduates to design, develop, maintain, manage and administer comprehensive Web sites for corporations and organizations. The program prepares graduates for the roles of Webmaster and Web site development specialist.

  Certification and Licensing:
Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for the Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) exam, as well as several certifications through the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW).

  Note: You have two options in this program: the associate in science (A.S.) degree, which can prepare you for employment or transfer to a state university, and the associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree, which is intended primarily for students who want immediate employment after graduation. If you choose the A.S. degree you must take MAC 1105, MGF 1106 or a higher level mathematics. The A.A.S. degree requires MAT 1033 or higher.
