  Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Heating Technology (5604)
   
  This program provides entry-level job training in air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. Instruction includes the scientific operations and principles of the common types of equipment and the technical skills that are needed to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems. The proper use of shop manuals, manufacturers' manuals and related technical literature is stressed. Employment opportunities are available in the new construction and repair industry and maintenance work in apartment complexes and commercial buildings.

  Application Procedures:
This program provides exit points for those who wish to specialize in a specific area. Students must complete courses required for each individual exit point. Students enrolled in this program may be required to enroll in basic skills training. This will be determined by their scores on the entry-level test. Students in this program should be advised by the instructor or the program manager before enrolling in courses.
  Total Tuition and Fees:
  Estimated tuition* is $2,300. Total estimated books and materials fees is $250. (*for Florida residents as of 7/03)
