  Workforce Certificate
  Nails Specialty (5702)
   
  A SELECTIVE ADMISSION PROGRAM. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, a growing number of workers in cosmetology offer specialized services. The fastest and largest growing area is in nail technology. This program is for those students seeking certification in manicuring/pedicuring and nail extension. A certificate of completion enables students to qualify for state licensure in this specialty area. This program includes classroom theory and laboratory practice and requires daily attendance. Classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at North Campus. For information call 904.766.5559.
 
  Certification and Licensing:
Upon completion of the program, students are qualified for the state licensing exam.

  Application Procedures:
This is a selective access program that admits students in the fall, spring and summer terms. Credit will be given for completion of high school or the GED® test as follows: .25 points per full year up to four years for work experience, .5 points for high school diploma and .25 points for completion of the GED® test. Official transcripts and GED® test scores, when applicable, must also be provided at the time of application.
