Workforce Certificate

Crossover from Correctional Officer to Law Enforcement Officer (5676)

This program provides the training needed for corrections officers to transition to law enforcement officers by providing the basic knowledge and understanding required to satisfactorily perform the duties and responsibilities of the police patrol person.

Certification and Licensing
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the state exam.

Application

  • The program is limited to Florida certified corrections officers and a valid driver’s license is required.
  • In addition to the Florida Community College application form, students must also complete a Criminal Justice application.
