Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing (5606)
Working on a damaged car is like sculpting in metal. It requires an artistic eye and skilled
craftsmanship to make the crumpled mass look new again. It also requires a commitment to ongoing education to stay on top of
the ever-changing automotive industry. Each year manufacturers introduce new models with advances in structural and material
technologies. You have to keep learning to keep up.
Our automotive programs are designed to match industry advances in the latest technology and techniques.
Youll learn to assess damage, suggest ways to repair it and accurately estimate the cost. Youll apply new
techniques to repair structural and non-structural damage plus the proper way to create the perfect finish. Youll
master precision equipment and tools. Youll learn welding, metalwork, surface prep, painting and how to restore large
sections of the automobile.
Imagine the advantage. Florida Community Colleges labs are clean, air-conditioned, and stocked
with state-of-the-art tools. Our partnerships with industry leaders ensure we provide the best training available using the
latest technology in collision repair and refinishing.
