If you want to learn essential computer software
skills, this program is for you. The courses cover basic word
processing, spreadsheet concepts and practices, and other computer
applications used in offices every day. Your job prospects will
grow after completing this program. Youll be prepared to
start a great career as a data entry clerk, receptionist, customer
service rep, or a number of other positions related to office
assistance. This is also valuable training for people who are
currently in the workforce.
This technical certificate is included as an option within the
Office
Software Applications Adminstration degree program. Students
may choose to pursue an A.S. or A.A.S. degree and earn technical
certificates while completing the requirements for the degree,
or pursue one or more certificate programs to develop or upgrade
their skills in a particular field. Contact an advisor or counselor
to determine the career education path that is best for you.
Students may complete a degree in only one of the three specialty
tracks, Office Administration, Medical Office or Office Software
Applications. Students who wish to add a second area of specialization
after completing a degree should pursue the technical certificates
in that area.
Credits earned in this program can be applied to the A.S./A.A.S.
degree in Office
Software Applications Adminstration.
Estimated tuition is $760 (for Florida residents, based on fees
as of 7/05). Contact program manager for cost of books, materials and fees.
