Network Support Services (Network Support Technician) (5670)
Anyone who has a computer will eventually need a specialist to
repair it. Professionals in network support services design, install and maintain LANs
(local-area networks), WANs (wide-area networks), network segments and both Internet
and intranet systems. They keep up network hardware and software, analyze problems and
monitor the network to ensure its availability to system users. They also may plan,
coordinate and implement network security measures.
This is a selective admission program. If you have experience or
knowledge in the computer repair field, the Network Support Services program may be for you. The courses teach network and
internet-working skills and offer related certifications.
Florida Community College partners with manufacturers and
employers to develop a workforce certified by Oracle, Microsoft and Cisco. Programs

provide career connections. We offer an intranet site posting jobs targeting FCCJ
students. Our graduates are regularly employed by CSX, JEA, Blue Cross Blue Shield,
the city of Jacksonville, Medtronic, Mayo Clinic and other regional employers,
including the government and military.
