Computer Specialist (Cisco CCNP) (6275)
A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is one of the most valued and well-rewarded occupations in the technology industry. CCNPs install and maintain the computer networks that run everything from conveyor belts to research robots.
The Computer Specialist (Cisco CCNP) certificate includes the eight courses required
for the first two levels of Cisco certification, Cisco Certified
Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional
(CCNP) and Security+. These respected certifications
are highly valued by employers who hire individuals to install
and maintain computer networks, from large corporations with their
own networking departments to small networking contractors.
The coursework emphasizes hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment. Work experience or prior coursework in computer repair and configuration is recommended for students entering this program.

Annual salaries can be as much as $61,000.
Students who already possess CCNA certification may receive credit
for the first four courses in the program. Completing this program
will prepare you for the CCNA and CCNP exams.
Students
completing this program may continue in the Computer
Engineering Technology (Cisco CCNP) A.A.S. degree program
in order to gain higher level Cisco networking skills.
