AVS 0093 Avionics Navigation/Support Systems

Prerequisite: AVS 0092 (or as corequisite). This course continues the study of the installation and repair processes of modern avionics systems, such as VHF communications, VHF navigation, ADF, radar, autopilots and others. Lab projects include installation of transponders, encoders, and Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT). Students will be prepared for successful completion of Element 8 of the FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License examination.
