EEV 0147 Motors, Generators and Transformers

Prerequisite: EEV 0812. This lecture-and-lab course provides familiarity with single-phase and multi-phase applications of transformers, AC and DC motors, and AC and DC generators. The course topics include boost and buck transformer connections, a survey of motors, basic motor control and multi-phase AC applications. Laboratory experiments provide hands-on experience with the course topics and help develop safe and effective lab skills.
