TRA 0083 Commerical Vehicle Driving III

Prerequisite: TRA 0082. This course focuses on fundamental driving skills. Students will learn basic vehicle control skills such as Straight Line Backing, Offset Backing, Parallel Parking and Alley dock exercises.  Instruction will focus on driving standards necessary to pass the CDL basic skills test. Students will be introduced to proper shifting techniques. Students will perform pre-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with FDOT and FMCSA requirements. Students must possess a valid Florida CMV Class A Learners Permit and current DOT Physical Exam before entering this course. Some classes will meet at night.
