Early Childhood Management (2203)
The Early Childhood Management program is designed
to prepare students for careers working with young children in
child care centers and family child day care homes. Career opportunities
exist in both private industry and government units as child care
center managers, family child care home operators, lead teachers,
teachers, assistant teachers and/or related positions.
Effective June 1, 1993 graduates of the Duval County School District secondary child care assisting and child care supervision programs and Fall Term, 1992 graduates of the First Coast Technical Institute child care assisting and supervision programs may be eligible for some transfer credits.
Students completing this program will qualify
for appropriate Florida Department of Children and Families’ child care training certifications, including the Child
Development Associate equivalency certification. In addition,
they will meet the educational requirements for both the Foundational
Level and Advanced Level of the Florida Child Care and Education
Administrator Credential.

for students who desire to complete an associate in science degree
