Electronics Engineering Management Technician (6920)
The Electronic Engineering Management Technician Certificate will supply workers with hands-on instruction in the electronics field and management skills necessary to supervise and direct a small to medium work group. Graduates of this certificate will be able to apply electronic theory and related knowledge to monitor operations to ensure machinery is working properly, to determine causes of operating errors and decide how to correct the errors, to evaluate the quality of machinery performance, to control operations of equipment or systems, to repair machines or systems, and to manage personnel who have these same objectives.
Credit can be obtained through completion of the required degree courses and/or evaluation of military/corporate American Council on Education (ACE) academic registry transcripts. Applicable credits will be awarded after an evaluation of the appropriate ACE transcript for military/corporate training following the recommendations of the American Council on Education Guide (ACE Guide). The application of these credits will allow students to earn this technical certificate credential more quickly, thereby reducing total tuition cost. Students must complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for the certificate with Florida Community College through on site or distance learning classes.
This certificate articulates directly into the Industrial Management Technology (Electronics Engineering Technology) degree program.
Estimated cost of tuition is $1,395 (tuition rated for Florida residents, as of 7/07). Contact the program manager for additional costs (textbooks, materials, fees).
