College Credit Course Description: CGS 2263

CGS 2263 Computer Network Concepts and Operations — 3 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: CGS 1570 or CGS 1100 or equivalent. This course is for non-network majors. It provides an introduction to computer networking concepts, as well as a hands-on approach to basic day-to-day operations of a small computer network. This course is ideal for those who will need to communicate with network and workstation support staff and/or provide simple day-to-day support of a computer network and its workstations. The hands-on portion of this course will use Microsoft Windows NT. Four contact hours: three lecture hours, one laboratory hour.
