College Credit Course Description: COP 1342

COP 1342 UNIX Systems Administration — 4 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: CGS 1560, CDA 1522, or equivalent experience. This course prepares students to administer UNIX networks. In-depth hands-on practice will supplement lecture on theory, concepts and terminology. This course may also include preparation for vendor certification. Topics include installation, device configuration, file systems, network services, printing, user accounts and groups, shells, and file access. Four contact hours: three lecture hours; one laboratory hour.
