College Credit Course Description: EHD 1942

EHD 1942 Interpreting Internship — 4 Credit Hours
Prerequisite: EHD 1941. Corequisite: EHD 1945. The discipline related internship provides advanced level students with meaningful work experience in the field of sign language interpreting. The course is designed to allow students to learn on-the-job as part of their educational program of study. Internship placement will provide working experience, practical application of the theoretical role of professional service providers and an introduction to the duties and responsibilities of interpreters in the community. Four contact hours: two lecture hours, two on-the-job training hours.
