HIM 1800 Health Information Practicum I (Y) — 2 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: HIM 1000, HIM 1430 and HIM 2012. This course will provide students with a supervised experience in an assigned health care facility's medical records department. Emphasis will be placed on primary medical record functions of record assembly, analysis, medicolegal procedures, preparation records for storage and equipment use. Five contact hours (health care facility).
