PEM 1146 Beginning Jogging (Y) — 2 Credit Hours
Recommended prerequisite or corequisite: HLP 1081. This course introduces basic concerns of beginning joggers such as safety factors, warm-up and cool-down, developing individual style, equipment selection, training principles and injury prevention, and precautions. It is recommended, and in some cases may be required, that students obtain medical approval prior to participation in the course. Three contact hours: one and one-half lecture hours, one and one-half other hour (activity).
