This course introduces students to the geological, chemical and biological aspects of the marine environment, with an emphasis on the marine ecosystems of Florida. Content includes physical characteristics of seawater, marine plant and animal divisions and phyla, seafloor geology, marine ecology, and human influence on the marine environment.
