EMS 1119 Fundamentals of Emergency Medical Care — 6 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: EMS 1059 or con sent of professor. Corequisite: EMS 1401. This course, designed to prepare individuals for initial employment as EMTs, includes current techniques practiced by a first-level EMT providing emergency medical care. On successful completion of this course and the corequisite EMS 1401, students are qualified to take the State Registry Examination for EMT Level I. Six contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
