Prerequisite: MAT 1033 with a grade of "C" or better or satisfactory score on the placement test. This course is designed for students who plan to major in fields that do not require an in-depth study of mathematics. The major topics introduced in this course are set theory, symbolic logic, geometry and measurement, introductory combinatorics, probability descriptive statistics, and history of mathematics. The logical reasoning, probability and statistics skills measured by CLAST are among the skills taught in this course. Three contact hours. (CBE) A.A., A.S., A.A.S.
