Prerequisite: AER 1421. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory and operation of brake boosters and master cylinders in today's brake systems. The removal and installation of components will be covered following prescribed manufacturer's procedures. Component bleeding procedures will be performed in compliance with manufacturer's recommendations. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
