CET 2481 Designing and Building Wireless Networks — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: CET 2660. This course is designed to give students a firm understanding of the wireless technologies including radio frequency theory and 802.11 standards, as well as basic antenna theory, and an introduction to WLAN security and bridging techniques. Hands-on access point and client adaptor labs help students gain experience in managing a wireless LAN. Hands-on exercises are an integral part of the course. Four contact hours: three lecture hours; one laboratory hour. A.S., A.A.S.
