This course offers a series of low impact resistance-based conditioning exercises designed to strengthen the abdomen, lower back and hips resulting in a fully toned body. The Pilates philosophy focuses on training the mind and the body to work together toward the goal of overall fitness. Designed to develop core strength and stability of the trunk and spinal musculature, Pilates will improve students balance and flexibility as well as increase their body awareness to minimize and eventually eliminate the risk of injury incurred from other physical activities.
