Financial Services (Financial Planning Associate) (A137)

If you’re interested in pursuing a career in the fast growing area of personal financial planning, this A.A.S. degree program will give you a solid foundation. Banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, credit unions, and other financial services institutions are growing; there are numerous employment opportunities in the Jacksonville area. The curriculum in this program covers a broad array of topics: financial planning fundamentals; principles of insurance; investment planning, retirement planning and employee benefits; individual taxes and estate planning. The lengthy list of professional electives allows you to focus on the areas of particular interest to you.

Expected Job Growth: Faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2012.

Average Salary: Median annual earnings of personal financial advisors were $56,680 in 2002.
