This program prepares you to pursue a career in aviation
technical, administrative or management positions in public, private or government
aviation operations, or in military aviation as a commissioned officer or pilot.
You can gain the entry-level knowledge and skills you need to become an airline
business manager, airport manager or, with additional training, an air traffic controller.
You may receive college credit for previous flight and ground
school courses, or currently held FAA certificates; however, awarding of such
credit will be based solely on Florida Community College’s evaluation of
your certificate(s), training and competency.
Beginning the 2003-2004 catalog year, after enrollment, students will only receive college credit for flight training earned through an FCCJ-contracted flight school.
This associate degree articulates into a bachelor’s of science degree program in Aviation Management at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. See more information on articulation.
Estimated tuition is $4,050 (for Florida residents, as of 7/05).
Estimated cost of textbooks, materials and fees is $500.

This associate in science degree program is intended primarily for students who
desire to complete an associates degree and become employed. Students who
decide to pursue university transfer study must meet certain course and test
