COP 2551 Introduction to Object Oriented Programming With Java — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: COP 1000. This course introduces the principles and practices of object oriented (OO) programming. Topics include user interface and problem data classes; class versus instance properties and methods; abstraction; encapsulation, inheritance and multiple inheritances; polymorphism; software design techniques; and problem solving. The concepts are utilized in numerous programming projects. Four contact hours (lecture/lab combination). A.A., A.S., A.A.S.
