Prerequisite: EHD 1941 with a grade of "C" or better or permission from the instructor. Corequisite: EHD 1945. The discipline related second practicum provides advanced level students with meaningful work experience in the field of sign language interpreting. The course is designed to allow students to learn on-the-job as part of their educational program of study. Practicum II placement will provide working experience, practical application of the theoretical role of professional service providers and an introduction to the duties and responsibilities of interpreters in the community. (100 contact hours per term with additional work/discussion with professor and other students, off the job site.) A.S.
