College Credit Courses
Prerequisite: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Class III medical certificate/student pilot certificate. This course is for students who wish to acquire the training and knowledge required to pilot an airplane and experience solo flight. The course consists of basic flight maneuvers, Federal Aviation Regulation, etc. The course requirements are met when the student completes the first solo flight. Florida Community College at Jacksonville will award college credit for this instruction upon presentation of proof of solo flight (instructor endorsement and flight logged in student logbook). Three contact hours: one lecture hour, two laboratory hours. (CBE) A.S., A.A.S.
