ATF 2200 Instrument Flight — 4 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: ATF 1104. This course consists of mastering normal and emergency instrument flight techniques, operations under instrument flight rules (IFR), proper radio communications, and radio navigation and charts including standard Departure Procedures (DPs), enroute (L-charts), Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARs), and Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs). The course requirements are met when the FAA adds the Instrument-Airplane rating to the students pilot certificate. Florida Community College at Jacksonville provides the flight instruction through a college contracted flight school. Six contact hours: two lecture hours, four laboratory hours. (CBE) A.S., A.A.S.
