 Courses College Credit Courses DEH 1802L Clinical Dental Hygiene II Laboratory — 4 Credit Hours Prerequisites: DEH 1800 and DEH 1800L. Corequisite: DEH 1802. This course is a continuation of Dental Hygiene Clinic I with additional emphasis on scaling and polishing of more complex cases. Other therapeutics are added such as use of ultrasonics, air polishing and advanced fulcrum techniques. Treatment considerations for pain management are applied with the more advanced patient cases. Detailed procedures for plaque control and patient education include use of oral hygiene aids specialized for patients with more complex needs. Twelve contact hours (clinical). A.S., A.A.S.
