 Courses College Credit Courses SPA 2939 Beginning ASL Discourse — 3 Credit Hours Prerequisites: SPA 1605, SPA 1617 (both with a grade of C or better). This is an advanced level ASL course to be taken after the student has successfully completed SPA 1605 (ASL 4) and SPA 1617 (Structure of ASL) with a grade of C or better. This course will use the ASL grammar and structure skills learned previously to engage in the various types of spontaneous ASL discourse seen in the Deaf community. Three contact hours. A.S.
