AMT 1735 Aviation Powerplant Maintenance Technician II — 12 Credit Hours

This course is designed to intro duce skills and the necessary knowledge and understanding of aircraft powerplant inspection, overhaul, and maintenance procedures and powerplant systems not covered in Powerplant I. This course includes fundamentals of reciprocating engines; fundamentals of turbine engines; turbine and reciprocating engine fuel and fuel metering systems; turbine and reciprocating engine ignition systems and components; propellers and propeller governing systems; turbine and reciprocating engine lubrication and fire protection systems; turbine engine overhaul; turbine engine removal, installation and operation; turbine engine inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance; reciprocating engine overhaul; reciprocating engine removal, installation and operation; and powerplant inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance. Twelve contact hours: lecture/laboratory combination. A.S., A.A.S.
