MAC 2311 Calculus With Analytic Geometry I — 4 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: MAC 1140 and MAC 1114 or MAC 1147, with grades of "C" or better or two years of high school algebra and one semester of high school trigonometry. This course is designed for students who plan to major in mathematics, science, engineer ing, computer sciences or any other field that requires the study of calculus. It is the first course of a three-course calculus sequence. The major topics in this course are limits and continuity, differentiation of algebraic and trigonometric functions, applications of the derivative, anti-differentiation, introduction to integration and applications of the definite integral.
