College Credit Courses
Prerequisites: NUR 0000 College Credit Earned by Examination. Corequisites: NUR 1060C and NUR 2428C. Transitional Nursing will provide the beginning Bridge Option student with information to form a basis for the transition from PN to the RN role. The course will provide in-depth information concerning the nursing role, health care trends and critical thinking skills. There will be discussion on nursing process and teaching/ learning strategies, as well as psychological concepts at the beginning level. The course will incorporate Adult Health I concepts such as cancer, preoperative, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, liver and elimination disorders. Six contact hours: four lecture hours, two clinical hours.
