NUR 1524C Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing — 4 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: NUR 1060C, NUR 1110, NUR 1025C and NUR 1140. Corequisites: NUR 1210C and NUR 1823. This course is designed to assist the student in gaining knowledge and refining communication skills necessary to implement the nurses roles in the care of persons with biopsychosocial problems and concerns. Emphasis will be placed on the application of inter personal and critical thinking skills. Clinical experiences will be provided in inpatient and other community set tings. Six contact hours: two lecture hours, four laboratory hours. A.S.
