Prerequisites: PHT 1000C, PHT 1120C and PHT 1200C. Corequisites: PHT 1212C and PHT 2220C. This course provides a basic knowledge of selected orthopedic disorders and their associated disabilities encountered in physical therapy practice. Emphasis is on the etiology, pathology, clinical picture and physical therapy treatment of diseases and conditions studied. A laboratory component provides students an opportunity to apply and practice concepts presented in the lecture segment of this course. Various modalities, techniques and protocols used in the rehabilitation of orthopedic diseases and disorders are covered. Six contact hours: four lecture hours, two laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
